Stress and doubt: -ஏ, -தான், -ஓ
தேற்றம், ஐயம்
Tamil stresses a word by adding a small ending to it rather than by raising the voice: -தான் (it's this one), -ஏ (this very one), -ஆ (is it this?), -ஓ (I wonder). Move the ending around one sentence.
Pick a word, then an ending.
-தான்: it is … that; only
நான் நேற்று வந்தேன்.நான்தான் நேற்று வந்தேன்.It was I who came yesterday.
Practise
I myself came yesterday.
