One, many: plurals
ஒருமை, பன்மை
Most nouns become plural with -கள். The interesting part is the join: மரம் becomes மரங்கள், பூ becomes பூக்கள், and வீடு simply becomes வீடுகள். Pick a word and watch.

| பல் → பற்கள் | tooth. ல் + க becomes ற்க. |

| மாணவன் → மாணவர்கள் | student (boy). Many words for people in -அன் (மாணவன், நண்பன்) take -அர்கள், though பையன் → பையன்கள். |
